GB and Senegal progress to the Quarter Finals.

Big shock Uruguay don't go through.

Mexico and Korea progress to the Quarter Finals.

Brazil and Egypt progress to the Quarter Finals.

Japan and Honduras progress to the Quarter Finals.

Big shock Spain finish bottom of the group.

Old Trafford - 1st August 2012, Group D.

Goalless draw. Spain 0 Morocco 0.

Plenty of effort but no goals to show for it.
Decent Mexican waves though.
Strange targeted waterfall fountain from the rain soaked, over-flowing roof.
Luckily it was at half time and spectators had got up from their seats, so most of them didn't get soaked.

Neither Spain or Morocco progress through to the Quarter Finals.

Japan and Honduras go through from Group D.

SPAIN v MOROCCO

Sixth match at Old Trafford.
Spain can’t qualify for the Quarters, Morocco still have a chance if Japan beat Honduras in the other Group D match.

Maybe Spain will have the World Cup stars out in force inc Juan Mata & Jordi Alba.

Some family coming today, don’t expect I’ll get to see them though. Maybe I’ll lie low so they can’t see my uniform.

30th July 2012 - Group A-D update after two matches

Team GB top the group with one win and a draw.

Mexico lead the way in Group B, with one win and a draw.

Brazil top group C as expected.

Surprise leaders Japan head group D with two wins.

27th July 2012 - Group A-D updates after one match

Uruguay top group A after an impressive opening win.

Gabon lead group B, not for long though.

Brazil positioned exactly where we'd expect in group C.

Japan head group D, one of the favourites,Spain, in last place.

Winner of Group D will play the Group C Runner Up in the Quarter Final, on Aug 4th 2012.

This will be held at Old Trafford and I'll be there so watch out for my post.
