The same as Otsu's goal really, just mirrored. A peach of a goal.

Semi Final - Wembley - 7th August 2012
JAPAN 1 MEXICO 0
Great shot, great goal. Keeper had absolutely no chance.

Mexico vs. Japan has kicked off at Wembley

Semi Final - Wembley - 7th August 2012
In what will be a hotly contested match, some people tip Mexico to come out on top. They're best player on the field is Tottenham Hotspur's Giovanni Dos Santos, who as always, hopes to impress. They'll have to work hard against a strong Japanese defense and offense, although Mexico will surely have the upper hand in the midfield with their system.
After an outstanding technical display against Egypt at Old Trafford last match, Japan have come on to  play against Mexico on the back of a 3 - 0 victory. Japan play to their strengths, utilising a system which encourages speed, technical ability, wide play and Barcelona-style close quarters passing. Japan are yet to concede in these Olympic Games so far.

Mexico vs. Japan is underway at Wembley

Semi Final - Wembley - 6th August 2012
In what will be a hotly contested match, Mexico are very slight favourites to beat their Japanese opposition tonight. Whoever wins here is guaranteed at least a sliver medal, so star players such as Tottenham's Giovanni Dos Santos.
In a tremendous technical performance, Japan beat their Egyptian opposition 3 - 0 in their last match. Japan are yet to conceed in this Olympic games, a fantastic record. Mexico will be out to change that though. It will be a great match.

JAPAN 3 EGYPT 0 Scored by Otsu! (82')

Number three for Japan.
Japan could score four or five more if they wanted to. Japan have had an amazing tournament, living up to way past their expectation. They kick around the ball as well as any other team in the tournament, and their technical ability has proven to be truly incredible. They haven't even conceded a goal yet, and they're in the semi-final. This goal was superb but simple; a sublime cross from deep in the left wing to Otsu in the centre to head it in with accuracy and power. All that can be said is well done Japan.

Serious Injury to Hegazy - Egypt have 9 Men

QF: Old Trafford, 4th August 2012
Egypt down to nine men.

Serious injury for Fiorentina and Egypt's Ahmed Hegazy, his left hamstring is completely gone. Painful but he's putting up with it, he's being helped off the pitch. The defender has had a poorer game than usual, but maybe this underlying problem is why. Egypt have already used all their substitutes, so will have to finish the last nine minutes with only nine men. More goals surely for Japan!.

JAPAN 2 EGYPT 0 Scored by Yoshida (78')
A second goal was bound to happen after a superb technical display from the Japanese and poor defending from ten men Egypt, who also have plenty of injured players too. Captain Yoshida's goal, a header from a free kick and he is certainly pleased with it. Looking towards a Brazil / GB - Japan Final as this side look excellent.

Red Card for Egypt number 15, Saadeldin SAAD (40')
Egypt down to ten men, looking increasingly difficult for them to get a result now.
Japan one up and still favourites to progress.
